Montana home sales in Flathead County & Lake County have seen shortened "Days on Market Until Sale" timeframes. From the time a property goes on the market, the buyer & seller negotiate an offer and the closing is recorded at the county, this period has tightened up substantially this year. Comparing Jan-June 2021 to 2020, Flathead County's transaction period dropped from 86 days on average to 42 days. In Lake Co it went from 142 days down to 68 days. Its berry picking time! Diana's husband went out picking this last week and came home with a gallon. Their dogs, Kona and Augie also gobbled them down! They have their secret spot(s) but in general folks can find a patch if they just head uphill. Around Bigfork that means up Crane Mountain, the Jewel Basin area or driving up by Hungry Horse Dam to pick above the reservoir.
