Going to the Sun Roads Opens Late

June 2022 Stats

We are starting to see a change in the market where closed sales numbers have fallen year to date in both counties. Flathead Co dropped 24.4% and Lake Co dropped 29.7% year to date as compared to 2021 for single family home sales. Another subtle but important drop is that the final negotiated sales price dropped over 2%. It's still very strong at 100.4% in Flathead and 98% in Lake Co of list price but there is an aura of a little more "calm" than there was last year. The number of homes for sale increased creating more competition between sellers and giving buyers a better selection. For more stats and all the details you can click on the images below.

Glacier Park Update

A whole bunch of snow this Spring made for a very late opening of the Going to the Sun Road. This pushed the park season even shorter. From Glacier National Park's Facebook post along with a few of our own, below are some hints to make your visit go a little smoother. (Photo from GNP website)

Visiting Glacier National Park soon? You're not alone! If you're hoping to avoid long lines getting into the park, here's some advice:

If you're coming in the morning, lines are longest from 8 - 11 am
In the afternoon, lines are longest between 4 - 4:30 pm
Arrive before, after, or between these times, and you may save yourself up to 20-30 minutes of waiting. Enjoy your time in the park, and remember to pack your patience!
