Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks have updated their 2009
Flathead Lake Island Mgmt Plan this year as visitation to several islands have increased and some negative impact has occurred. The new rules cover four of the islands they manage: Bird Island north of Finley Point, Cedar Island off the west shore, Douglas Islands off Miller Point and Goose Island near the West Shore State Park. The plan includes designating campsites on first-come basis, adding a fee, installing compost toilets and installing more signage with information and
